I believe that relationships with our patients, through excellent communication and trust, are essential to great dentistry. It is therefore my goal to always ensure that my patients understand every aspect of their dental care, while making their experience enjoyable.
When I was young, I moved to Calgary from Montreal, which might explain my lifelong loyalty to the Habs (I would also continue to cheer for the Expos if they had managed to keep themselves in existence). For high school, I attended William Aberhart.
I began studying at the University of Calgary and graduated from the University of Alberta Dental School in 1993 with a BSc. and DDS.. I began practicing at Braeside Dental Centre in 1994, every year working with the intention of improving the clinic and our skills, thereby ensuring that it is of the highest quality for all my patients. It has been more than 20 years, and I still have a strong philosophy of self-improvement and expansion of thought.
In order to stimulate the enrichment of my knowledge, I am a member and alumni of the Pankey Institute, member of the Alberta Dental Association and College, Spear Education, Calgary District and Dental Society, and the Canadian Dental Association. I also facilitate a study group for dentists around Calgary in order to promote community, continued education, and elevate the level of dentistry.
I have been married to my wife, Maninee, for over 20 years and have three lovely kids. Throughout the years, I’ve coached my eldest son in hockey, my youngest son in badminton, and all three of my kids in soccer. Not only does this allow me to spend more time with my kids, but it also gives me the opportunity to give back to my community.
When I’m not at work, coaching, or watching their extracurricular events, I’m most likely cheering on the Habs, playing board games (which become quite competitive), or watching movies with my family. In addition to being an overly devoted hockey fan, I curl at the Calgary Curling Club with some of my colleagues and swim with the Calgary Masters Swim Club every week.
Ultimately, I understand what it means to want to have quality service for you and your family, something I always keep in mind when making decisions regarding the clinic. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of watching families grow, often seeing the children of the once young patients I had 20 years ago.
Braeside, my staff, and your smile are my top priorities.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
