Dear Valued Patients,
I hope and trust that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe during this difficult time.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, changes are being made at Braeside Dental Centre to contain the spread of the virus. We would like to keep you, as our patients, informed and knowledgeable.
On Tuesday, March 17 2020, the Alberta Dental Association (ADA) called for the mandatory suspension of all non-emergency dental treatment and services. We are open and ready to assist you with dental emergency care, which includes: “oral facial trauma, significant infection, prolonged bleeding, or pain that cannot be managed by over-the-counter medications”. We want to stress that we are also here to provide needed care that, if left untreated, becomes either: a more significant burden on our health care resources, significantly compromises patient health, or has the potential to become an emergency in the future. Please note that the ADA is encouraging patients to seek emergency care in a dental office versus a hospital setting. Together we will have to use our best judgement in these situations.
Our phone lines are open (403-251-1055) and someone will be available to speak with you during our working hours to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Patients will be triaged prior to booking and upon entering the clinic in accordance with AHS screening directions. We are also taking many additional precautions within the clinic to ensure patient and staff safety. Your safety, and that of my staff, is my top priority.
On behalf of the entire team at Braeside Dental Centre, we wish you and your loved ones all the best during these difficult and unprecedented times.
We thank you for your understanding.
Dr. Goel, Dr. Jost and the team at Braeside Dental Centre
