Alberta Dental Association Revised Guidelines on Emergency Treatment and the Dental Emergency Protocol.

Effective immediately, the ADA and the Alberta Government has changed the definition of what emergency dental care consists of:

Emergency dental treatment includes treatment of oral-facial trauma, significant infection, prolonged bleeding or pain which cannot be managed by over-the-counter medications.”

As such, Braeside Dental Centre, and all members of the ADA, cannot continue to provide routine or urgent care to patients until further notice. Members are only able to provide emergency care that fits within this description.

From all of us at Braeside dental centre, we hope and trust that you are keeping safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. Our thoughts go out to everyone impacted by this situation. We will be available to our patients by telephone if they require emergency care. The number our dentist on-call can be reached at is: (403)-251-0342.
